Emerald-L: The Dimension Before part 15
I jolted awake, feeling more rested then I have ever been. I felt refreshed and hyper, ever. I was so ready to get back to everyone, but first I check my back, to see just how embarrassing that burn mark would be.
It wasn’t there.
I frowned. I was certain that at least half the fur on my back had been burnt off, but now it looked normal. I turn my gaze up, and I find the sun in a different place. When I fell asleep, it had to be late morning or something. The sun had almost set by now. But even then, my fur shouldn’t have grown back that fast.
I decide to think about that later, and I start sprinting to the castle. I can see it no

I don’t recommend going to the Distortion Zone if you have nausea, epilepsy, fear of heights…
Scratch that, I don’t recommend going to the Distortion Zone at all.
Large floating islands were everywhere, along with many smaller islands dotting around them. Gravity was different, seeing as how I was gliding instead of falling. Instead of a horizon, there was just a vortex of shades of blue all around, as if we were suspended in the center of a whirlpool.
I land on one of the large islands, and I take a quick look around. It seemed as though these were pieces of the world that somehow fell into this zone, and has been here ever

Life went on, and everything was going right for me.
I had a rough childhood, with my parents, my mega evolution, and all of that stuff. But life felt like it turned around. I had a girlfriend, Jade, and two close friends, Saff and Pearl. After they got used to the fact that Pearl was the all mighty Palkia, the three of them got along just fine.
I always found it funny when I took a walk with Pearl. Any pokemon we come across would fall to their knees, and the look of shock on their faces when I talked “disrespectfully” to Pearl: priceless.
With my win over Pearl, a new time of peace came over me and my friends. No one dared chall

“Emerald, wake up.”
I shift in my sleep. I was just having a great dream. I had defeated Palkia in my dream, and that was always a good feeling to know if you could do that.
“Five more minutes…” I try to turn over and fall back asleep, but my body feels a wave of pain as I do so. It was as if I had just been used as the ball in a soccer game between hitmonlees.
“Here, Emerald, eat this…” Something is pushed up against my mouth, and I took a bite. Oran berry? Why did I need an Oran berry? I don’t remember fighting anything recently. Well, except for my dream where I just… beat…

We lived at the castle now, all three of us. Jade, Saf, and I fell into the castles routine. Every day, there were always a few classes. Challenges is a better word. They were usually combat based, such as how hard you could hit, how fast you could move, and overall technique. Jade and Saf were actually able to do pretty well, keeping up with the other trainees. As for me, I didn’t pass my classes.
I exceeded them.
Exceed is an understatement. The teachers and professors had never seen anything like it. I could punch through a large block of concrete the size of a house with a single punch. I could finish a race before the others even t

Saf is a great mon to hang out with.
The espeon is not much older than me, and he had a very similar sense of humor as me and Jade. We followed Uncle Steel, along with his group meant to bring back the outlaw, and the three of us, Saf, Jade, and me, hung back, just talking to each other.
Saf was smaller than most espeons, which is something that annoyed him to no end. His smaller size meant he got tired easier than the rest of us. About halfway to the destination Steel was leading us to, he nearly collapsed from exhaustion. After a bit of thought, I came up with a way for him to come along with us, and a few minutes later, he had figured out

“M-My uncle?!”
The other lucario, Steel, nodded. “Yep. You were barely hatched when I last saw you.” He looked me up and down. “You look so much like your father… Heh, I would say you’ve got your mother’s eyes or something like that, but you very clearly don’t.”
I was still in shock. I had never had any other true family besides my mom and dad, and they had never told me about anyone else.
“But… Why did they never say anything about you?”
Steel frowned. “Hm… I thought they would do something like that… You see, your father, Iron, was one of our bes

Even though it only took seconds, it felt like it took years.
That’s what I felt as I sprinted my way to town, glancing around, hopeful to find a medical center. It felt like I was moving in slow motion, even though this was the fastest I’ve ever ran in my life. It was a one street town, making my job a lot easier, just making a straight dash through town.
I had almost reached the end of town when I saw the red cross symbol of a small hospital.
Now, even in the most horrid of situations, most people at least open the door. Not me. At this point, I cared so little that I turned mid-step and rammed my shoulder into the door at high

Hello to all of you who have watched me, and anyone else who is passing by! I've been gone for a loooooong time, I know, but I'm back and I actually want to start writing again! Hopefully, I can actually get some stories out for people to read!
My main problem is fighting something to write in the first place, so I would like to open some requests if anyone's interested! If you have an idea, let me know via note.
I hope to see you around!
How long have you been on DeviantArt? Well, I've been on her for 1 year and 8 months.
What does your username mean? Emerald is my favorite gemstone and my favourite version of Pokemon, and Riolu is one of my favourite Pokemon. So I put the two together.
Describe yourself in three words. Hm... Funny, weird, random.
Are you left or right handed? Right handed.
What was your first deviation? It was my very first practice with a digital art program.
What is your favourite type of art to create? I write stories more then art, really.
If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be? Digital.
What was your first favourite?
W
After a little bit of reflection time, I feel ready.
Now, I know that some of you have known me for a while, some of you not so much.
There's still something I want to get out to people, after a month of thinking about it.
Well, here it is...
I'm bi-curious.
That doesn't truly mean I'm attracted to guys... Most of them...
But it's something I needed to tell you guys.
Thanks for listening.
